DIY paper towel holder. Paper towel holder - the best wall designs and modern design solutions (75 photos). DIY towel holder in the bathroom

Today we will make our own paper kitchen towel holder. Let's consider two options - vertical and horizontal, hanging. The first can be installed on any flat surface, the second can be hung on a wall or furniture.

Vertical paper kitchen towel holder

This is how it looks separately and already in working form, along with towels.

To make a holder we will take:

  • used CDs – 8 pcs.
  • disc container
  • towel reel
  • coffee capsule
  • leg-split
  • sandpaper
  • scissors
  • napkins
  • brushes

Making a towel holder

We use a disc container as the base of the structure. We put the disks in it, gluing them together.

Glue a coffee capsule to the end of a towel spool.

Additionally, we cover the top with paper tape.

We make a hole at the top of the bobbin with an awl. Let's sand it.

Carefully cover the reel with a napkin. First at the top in separate cut pieces.

Then we cover the reel with a whole napkin.

We poke a hole with an awl.

We begin to cover the base of the holder from the container with disks with a napkin.

We wait until all the napkins are dry. After this we coat the top with varnish.

We thread a loop woven from twine through the hole made in the holder.

That's it, now all we have to do is glue together the vertical part from the reel and the base from the container.

A similar holder can be made for use in the bathroom.

Hanging towel holder

The second version of the holder is hung on the wall. To make it we take:

  • wooden sticks – 2 pcs.
  • ruler
  • screw pins
  • drill or engraver
  • hooks
  • sandpaper

Making a wall-mounted towel holder

Let's take wooden stick and prepare it. If there are irregularities, they must be carefully removed (for example, with a knife), and then the entire surface must be sanded.

On the prepared stick, we make small holes on both sides with an awl - for screw pins.

Now we screw in the pins.

The second stick should be slightly longer. We measure the levels of the screwed-in pins, add about 1 cm each and put marks. In these places we drill through holes for the cord.

If desired, the sticks can be decorated: painted, tinted, varnished, decoupaged. We are considering the simplest option.

Assembling the holder. We put the hooks on the pins. If such hooks are not available, you can make them from wire. Hooks are needed for easy replacement of towels.

We put towels on the bottom stick. We tie a cord to the hooks and thread it through the top stick. That's it, now the holder can be hung on the wall.

If you don't have it on your wall ready-made elements To hang the holder, we make them ourselves. First we drill holes in the wall (in in this case- in the cabinet door).

Then we screw the hooks on the pins into the holes.

If you don't feel comfortable drilling into furniture, you can make holes in the wall. And if it is convenient to make holes on the cabinet door, you can use special suction cups instead of screw pins.

That's it, the holder is ready and installed.

Tin cans are one of the most popular packaging for various products. Even in ancient times, people made tubes from metal different sizes, which were distinguished by their strength, flexibility and ease of use. Most often, after use, tins end up in the trash, so we decided to offer you useful tips on the reuse of iron cans. In this article you will learn how to decoupage metal and turn jars into DIY towel holder for bathroom interior.

- primer;
- skin;
- 6 identical tin cans;

- acrylic paint;
- scissors;
- hammer;

- ribbon or braid for decoration;
- brushes;

Our article will tell you how to make a paper towel holder with your own hands. Today, almost every housewife has paper towels in her kitchen, and for comfortable use it is important to properly secure the roll of towels to the work surface.

Paper towel holder - comfort in everyday life.

Paper towels have recently taken their rightful place in our lives. Those who use them daily appreciate the convenience and comfort of this simple but necessary thing. At the heart of a roll of paper towels is a tube made of thick cardboard, with which it can be secured to a special holder. It is convenient to tear towels off the fixed roll one by one as needed. After use, throw it in the trash. Today it is possible to make a paper towel holder with your own hands from available materials.

What are paper towels?

A paper towel is a product made from paper using special technologies that increase moisture-absorbing properties.

There are 3 types of towels:

  • single-layer - have low absorbency, instantly lose their appearance;
  • two-layer - have average absorbency, average resistance to damage;
  • three-layer – instantly absorbs moisture and easily removes dirt.

For convenience, a roll of paper towels should be secured to a special holder. If you were unable to purchase a ready-made holder, there is always the opportunity to make it yourself.

There are the following types of paper towel holders based on the location of their attachment:

  • floor;
  • desktop;
  • wall-mounted

By installing a floor holder, it can be improved with fastenings for garbage bags, household chemicals and wheels for complete mobility. The tabletop can be placed not only on the table, but also on any horizontal surface - a shelf or washing machine. Wall-mounted is attached to the wall horizontally or vertically. The mount can be stationary or portable.

Several ways to make paper towel holders.

Let's try to make a tabletop paper towel holder with our own hands.

1 way.

For this we need:

  • old doll;
  • wooden pyramid;
  • PVA glue;
  • braid, beads, rhinestones.

Let's take a wooden pyramid, which you can look for in old, no longer needed toys. Let's remove the rings from the rod - this will serve as the basis for the future holder. It is necessary to select a pyramid so that its height is equal to the height of the roll of towels, then it will stand more steadily on the stand. The base can be covered with braid, beads and rhinestones to give it a new look. We put the roll on the rod. It will look like a dress. Now let's move on to the design of the top. We take the doll and separate the head, decorate it with rhinestones. We put it on the rod of our holder. Our exclusive work in the form of a doll is ready. As you can see, it’s not difficult to make it yourself.

Method 2.

Materials:

  • newspapers;
  • radio discs;
  • PVA glue;
  • multi-colored film on an adhesive base.

First, let's make the base with our own hands. Let's take several disks and glue them together with PVA glue. To do this, carefully apply thin layer glue and press them tightly together. Each subsequent disc should be glued after the glue has dried, then glue the next disc. We continue to work until the height of our base reaches 1-1.5 centimeters. Our foundation is ready.

Now let's start making the rod. To do this, take a newspaper, grease it with glue and roll it into a tube. It is important here to take your time and do everything carefully. We select the diameter to match the size of the hole in the disk. Using scissors, cut off the top and bottom of the resulting tube. We also measure the size in the following way: the height of the towel roll plus 3 centimeters. When the rod dries well, we begin to cover it with multi-colored film.

We connect the parts. We carefully insert the finished rod into our base. The towel holder is ready. We can also put a head from a doll, gnome or clown on top of the structure. Then you will get a funny clown, an entertaining gnome or a beautiful doll. You can also show your imagination and bring your ideas to life.

3 way.

Materials:

  • wooden block;
  • chair stick;
  • acrylic paints;
  • brush.

Holder base. Cut out the base from a round wooden block. Then it needs to be varnished or acrylic paints. Let it dry.

Kernel. You can take a stick from an old chair and saw off the desired length. Cover with varnish or paint. Leave until completely dry.

We connect the received parts. The main thing here is to make sure that all the parts match perfectly in size.

Our holder is ready. You can safely start using it!

Do you want to please yourself and your loved ones with an unusual stand for paper towels? She will not only be able to fulfill her direct responsibility, but will also decorate your kitchen, and perhaps amuse your guests! For the stand, you can use your old wooden cutting board, wooden spoons, forks or spatulas. And paper towels will find their place, and wooden spoons will begin a second life. If you already have all this at hand, then get to work!

So, you will need:

  • Wooden cutting board small size, it can be round, oval or square.
  • A wooden spoon and fork, or maybe you have something even more suitable with round handles.
  • A small wooden cylinder with a hole to hold a spoon. You may have something that looks like a cylinder on hand. And if not, then you will have to think about what it can be made from. Maybe saw off a piece of a wooden handle from something and drill a hole of a suitable diameter, or maybe cut off a piece of durable plastic tubing...
  • Sandpaper (optional)
  • Glue suitable for wood.
  • Paint or varnish for wood, any color and composition to your taste. You can use spray paint.
  • Soft paint brush

Step 1. Preparing parts. Prepare a suitable cylinder. The diameter of the cylinder hole should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the spoon handle. It is ideal if the spoon is firmly fixed in the cylinder. The retaining fork may need to be shortened. If you use old things, be sure to sand them down sandpaper, then the paint will lie flat and hold tight!

Step 2. Construction of the structure. Let's start assembling our napkin stand. Mark the center on the base board and glue the cylinder there. All that remains is to find appropriate place for a fork that will serve as a retainer. To do this, place a roll of paper towels on the base, secure it with a spoon and mark the place for the fork with a pencil. There is no need to glue the spoon, it will act as a fixation for the roll! Now drill a hole in the base board for the retaining fork. Place a few drops of glue into the hole and insert the fork handle there. Now your design is ready!

Step 3. Painting. After the glue has dried well, you can start painting. You can paint the stand one color, or you can get creative and make a whole work of art out of it!
