Tomatoes with aspirin under an iron lid quick recipe with cold water for a 3-liter jar with or without vinegar. This recipe for pickled tomatoes can give not only a pleasant taste sensation, but also relieve headaches (especially with a hangover), lower the temperature and make the blood more fluid. Naturally, before cooking, the question arises: are tomatoes with aspirin harmful? If there is no individual tolerance to acetylsalicylic acid, as well as stomach problems, then this recipe is relatively safe.

For a three-liter jar, take only 3 aspirin tablets of 500 milligrams (0.5 grams per liter), the maximum single dose of this medicine is 1 gram. That is, you can only overdose if you yourself eat a whole jar of tomatoes marinated with aspirin along with brine in one meal. But if you eat a few tomatoes at lunch, a small dose of acetylsalicylic acid can even be beneficial. Aspirin in this twist plays the role of a preservative and an antibiotic at the same time. Therefore, tomatoes with tablets do not ferment even at room temperature; the jars can be left directly in the pantry without fear that they will explode.

Ingredients for the vinegar recipe for a 3-liter jar:

  • Tomatoes – green or red, most importantly strong;
  • Garlic;
  • Bay leaf, peppercorns, spices;
  • Vinegar – 100 ml;
  • Three aspirin tablets (0.5 g each);
  • Sugar and salt - 2 tablespoons each.

How to cook with boiling water:

The tomatoes must be washed, the garlic peeled and cut. Place vegetables in a clean glass jar. Aspirin should be crushed between teaspoons and poured into the bottom. Next, you need to boil 2-3 liters of water (enough to cover the tomatoes in the jar), pour vinegar into it, add salt and sugar. Pour boiling water over the jar, process the lid and roll up. It is best to store the twist in a cool place.

How to cook with cold water:

To prepare tomatoes with aspirin in cold water, you need to take more vinegar (about a glass) and more salt (150 grams). Salt, vinegar and aspirin are immediately dissolved in water, and jars of tomatoes and spices are filled with the solution. For spices, it is best to take not bay leaves, but onions, garlic, celery, dill, and herbs. For spiciness, you can add a pod of chili pepper. The jar is rolled up with a clean lid and placed under warm water so that the salt and aspirin dissolve in the liquid. After 2 months, the twist is ready for use; it should be stored in a cool place. The recipe is attractive because it can be made completely without sterilization.

Without vinegar:

It will be very difficult to completely do without additional acid. Some recipes suggest replacing vinegar with citric acid. For a three-liter jar you need about 10 grams. However, this will not bring a noticeable effect on health; anyway, the combination of aspirin with any acid is not very beneficial for the stomach. At the very least, these dishes should be eaten with a good side dish, for example, mashed potatoes or buckwheat porridge, which will eliminate the harmful effects of acid on the stomach and digestive tract.

Tomatoes with aspirin under an iron lid is a good recipe for those who like to eat a small amount of this delicacy per day and not spend a lot of time on twisting.

Moreover, the whole process is very simple and quick: you just need to prepare the tomatoes and spices, add aspirin, pour hot marinade over everything - and you can close the jars. Yes, yes, all this - without tedious sterilization or multiple fillings. Well, I tried the result - it’s just wonderful, you can believe me. So if you want to eat moderately spicy, moderately sweet tomatoes with aspirin for the winter, then I will be happy to share the recipe with you.
